Leah Lizarondo is the Chief Veghacker, recipe creator and curator at The Brazen Kitchen, where she writes about food and food policy. She is also the Co-Founder and CEO of 412 Food Rescue, an innovative nonprofit that bridges the disconnect between the fact that we waste 40% of our food while 1 in 7 go hungry. She wrote an award-winning weekly food column for Pittsburgh Magazine online and is Editor at Large for NEXTpittsburgh. Her work has been featured on NPR, MSN, Oprah.com, GOOD magazine and many others.
She is a speaker and advocate for food accessibility, health and sustainability and her TEDx talk “Why the Farm is Not Getting to the Table,” gives awareness to how simply going back to cooking our own food has significant implications to our health.
